The last Wednesday email I sent you went out on April 28th.
That's almost six months. The Monday and Friday emails kept going, because those are scheduled and don't need me. Wednesdays are the ones I write that week. And I stopped.
I'd love to tell you there was a dramatic reason. There wasn't. Work got loud. I had to travel for about two months out of the last six. Wednesday became Thursday, Thursday became "next week," next week became "after summer," and then it was October.
If you've been around long enough to get all fifty of the Monday and Friday emails, it's worse. You haven't heard from me at all. That's fixed too. New ones start next week.
Sami, for the record, did not take six months off from anything. He filed his 6pm dinner request every single day. He claimed the couch at 9pm every single night. He ignored roughly 40% of my attempts to call him with total confidence and zero remorse. Consistency is easy when your whole job is being a dog.
So. Wednesdays are back. Same deal as before. Short, honest, no listicles, nothing your vet doesn't want you to know.
One favor first. Hit reply and tell me one thing your dog did this week. One sentence is plenty. "Ate a sock" counts.
I read every reply. And after six months of silence, a reply also tells your inbox I'm not a stranger, which means you'll actually see the next one.
Bobby (and Sami, who did not notice I was gone)
